Ghost bloom

Jellyfish have been drifting through our oceans for more than 500 million years. They were here long before dinosaurs, trees, and even flowers.

They have no brain, no heart, and no bones. They don’t fight the current. They simply move with it, one slow pulse at a time.

When I photograph them, I don’t just see marine life. Sometimes they look like flowers opening beneath the sea. Sometimes they look like floating glass or drops in void. Other times, they remind me of creatures drifting through space.

This project is about slowing down and seeing them differently, not as strange animals, but as some of the oldest and most graceful survivors on Earth.

Long after we’re gone, they will probably still be here! drifting with the same quiet rhythm that has carried them for half a billion years.
